Valeria Estefan (Mexico, 1986) debuts as a singer and composer with the song ANGELS & DIAMONDS, a piece arranged by José Luis Esquivel in a classic crossover style.
Valeria studied Communication with a specialization in radio at Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), and Production Design for the screen at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). She has studied music formally and informally in countries such as Italy, the United States, Australia, and Mexico. Valeria has attended composition and performance courses in both jazz and classical music at Berklee College of Music, the Accademia Europea di Firenze, and the Conservatorio de Música del Estado de México.
She has composed songs for short films and commercials, as well as for NOTA DOMINANTE, an independent TV series she produced, dedicated to jazz made in Mexico. The main theme was nominated in 2019 in the OUTSTANDING THEME SONG category at the Antenna Awards in Melbourne, Australia. Her vocal instruction comes from different figures in classical music as well as pop and jazz, including Milly Bermejo, Nadia Washington, Susanna Rigacci, María Julius, Margarita Jardón, Patsy Virgen, Floriana Pezzolo, Kassem Liévanos, Nicoletta Maggino, and Iván Juárez.
Her interest in music, singing, and sound has led her to develop in parallel in the voiceover field, where she has trained with voice artists such as Rona Fletcher, Mario Filio, Cony Troncoso, Isa Junca, Juliana Vargas, Pepe Campa, and Victor Manuel Espinoza. Valeria has lent her voice for different brands such as Oriflame LATAM, Pepsi, Walmart, Pringles, Coca-Cola, BBVA, The Wild Oscar Hotel, De Nicolas Eyewear, Contratiempo Jazz, as well as for the Government of Mexico City and the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA).
In 2023 she completed and concluded the International academic program of Voiceover and Dubbing at A Voz Academia de Expresión y Doblaje in Colombia. In 2011 Valeria co-founded with Creative Director Luis Felipe Ferra, POLYTROPOS Film House, a boutique production company, from where she produces audiovisual projects focused on art and culture. She currently lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she continues to expand her knowledge in music production at The School of Synthesis.
